The Story
There’s nothing quite like standing in the dark on a rock shelf in the Southern Ocean as the waves roll in over your feet. But when you’ve wanted to create a particular artwork for years that’s sometimes what you have to do.
On a clear April evening I thought I’d missed out on capturing the water as the tide was quickly going out. And then a massive sets of waves came at the perfect time and flooded the rock shelf.
The resulting photos captures the overflow of water underneath the Milky Way, and is one of our most popular artworks.
